Lady Gaga Taps The Darkness To Open Born This Way Ball

Re-formed British rock band 'honoured' to serve as openers on European leg of Gaga's tour, which kicks off August 14 in Bulgaria.

<P>Perhaps looking for some <i>actual</i> Heavy Metal Lovers, Lady Gaga has tapped reunited British rockers the Darkness as the opening act on the first &#8212; though we're willing to bet not <i>last</i> &#8212; leg of her <i>Born This Way</i> Ball, which kicks off August 14 in Sofia, Bulgaria.</P><P></P><P>The Darkness confirmed the news Tuesday morning (April 10) on their official site (which, in a <i>very</i> Darkness move, is called TheActualDarkness.com), writing that they were "honoured [British spelling, extra classy] to announce their addition to the bill as main support for Lady Gaga's <i>Born This Way</i> Ball tour 2012."</P><P>The glammy, hammy rockers &#8212; best known for theatrical hits like "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and "Growing on Me" &#8212; burned bright before imploding in 2006, but announced a reunion (and plans for a new album) just last year. And as a way of kickstarting the next chapter of their career, frontman Justin Hawkins appeared in a well-received Samsung commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLV, in which he starred as a Spandex-clad pied piper who rescued folks from the monotony of everyday life. So, you know, it was basically a documentary.</P><P>It's not clear if the Darkness will serve as the opening act on <i>all</i> of Gaga's Euro dates (a spokesperson for the band did not respond to MTV News' request for comment by press time), but, thanks to the Mother Monster herself, we now know that there <i>are</i> European dates for the much-discussed <i>BTW</i> Ball.</P><P>Gaga unveiled the first 21 shows early Tuesday morning on her Twitter account. After kicking off August 14 in Bulgaria, she'll make stops in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Germany, France and the U.K. before wrapping October 6 in Barcelona.</P><P></p>

Rick Ross And Usher's 'Touch 'N You' Is For 'The Ladies'

Rozay and Usher talk to MTV News about the 'sexy' track from their video set in Atlanta.

<P>God Forgives, but Rick Ross does not. Still, as apathetic as the Bawse may portray himself, Rozay has a sweet spot when it comes to the ladies. So on "Touch 'N You," the new big money single off of Ross' upcoming <i>God Forgives, I Don't,</i> the Maybach CEO and guest star Usher Raymond show a little love to the hunnies.</P><P>"It's a real sexy record. I wanted to make sure the ladies knew that they could be a part of this movement, a part of this project," Rick Ross told MTV News on Thursday (May 24) from the "Touch 'N You" video set in Atlanta. "I would never let the ladies down even if it's a real hard album or however it may be titled."</P><P><center></center></P><P>The upcoming clip is directed by Chris Robinson (Lil Wayne "How to Love," Jay-Z "Roc Boys") and will of course co-star Usher. "It's an incredible one, Chris once again comes together making an incredible video," Usher told us. "It is a conceptual video depicting the world that Rozay is in. My participation is just to show up and be cool."</P><P>Cool is an understatement when it comes to Usher, who is riding high off of his #1 <i>Billboard</i> Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song "Climax." Ross is no stranger to love songs either; he's given the ladies plenty to swoon over on singles like 2008's "Here I Am" and 2010's "Aston Martin Music," but having Ush on a track adds a certain appeal.</P><P>The combination of Raymond's vocals and the sexy "Touch 'N You" video should be just enough to help Rozay properly put his feelings in perspective. Sometimes after long studio sessions with Meek Mill, Wale and the rest of his MMG compadres, the Bawse just needs to get away, and that's what he aims to capture in the clip. "It's basically like a situation where life gets so hectic sometimes you just want to get away with that special female and that's what this was based off," he said.</P><P><i>What do you think of Rick Ross and Usher's "Touch 'N You"? Who Won Celebrity Apprentice 2012 – Arsenio Hall

Last night, Donald Trump crowned Arsenio Hall as the winner of Celebrity Apprentice 2012. The Celebrity Apprentice finale pitted Arsenio versus American Idol runner-up, Clay Aiken. All totaled, some $2 million dollars were raised over all for a variety of charities. Arsenio was playing for the Magic Johnson Foundation, an emotional effort following the recent death of one of Hall′s relatives to AIDS. Normally, I have been covering the series closely, especially with all of the drama that took place this season. But the last couple of weeks have been difficult due to other programs I follow, such as Mad Men, Sherlock on Masterpiece Mystery and last week′s Survivor finale. Add to that my frank disappointment in the final selection of Arsenio and Clay as the two finalists. I would have preferred seeing a finale between Aubrey O′Day and Lisa Lampanelli. Even Aubrey versus Clay would have been better! So this season reminds me of the infamous ′fixed-season′ when Joan Rivers was awarded the title over poker star Annie Duke.
